Gender in the Classroom Workshop

Our next workshop will surround the topic of gender in the classroom. Teaching is an integral part of university life, but how does gender play a role in teaching and education? Do students respond differently to teachers of different genders? Do students participate differently in different activities because of their gender? These and many other questions will be explored during this workshop.

This workshop will be given by Loes Rutten, PhD candidate in the Seismology group in the Department of Earth Sciences who also has experience in topics of gender, diversity and inclusion through the European Youth Forum, a platform that advocates for the rights of young people in Europe.

We actively encourage any male staff who would like to be involved to join us for this session.
